I'm Michael Helgren, a former professional figure skater who spent years performing internationally with Cirque du Soleil, Disney On Ice, and Royal Caribbean. For 15 years I lived out of two suitcases, landing in over 50 countries and building a life in each one. Everywhere I ended up became home, not because of luck, but because I figured out how to land well.

Common questions

Do you work with renters or just buyers?
Both. Most of my clients are renters, especially those relocating for work who want to get settled before committing to a purchase. I help with the full process either way.
Do I need to be local for this to work?
Not at all. Most of my work happens remotely through calls, shared documents, and real-time communication. That is kind of the whole point. You do not need to be there to make confident decisions.
How is this different from just hiring a real estate agent?
A real estate agent works for a transaction. I work for you. I have no financial stake in where you land or what you sign. My job is to make sure you make the right decision, not the fastest one.
What if I am relocating internationally?
International arrivals are one of my specialties. I cover U.S. systems orientation, banking and credit setup guidance, documentation referrals, and cultural context that most locals take for granted. You will not be figuring it out alone.
When should I reach out in my relocation timeline?
The earlier the better. Most clients come to me 4 to 12 weeks before their move. That said, I have helped people who reached out with two weeks to go. It is never too late to get the right support in place.
